<title>Collingdale #2 Assists Sta. 01 & U.S. Coast Guard</title>
<description>Just after 10:00am Folcroft Fire Co. (Sta. 01) was dispatched to a unique rescue call along the CSX railroad tracks. Here two Peco Employees became stuck atop a High Tension Wire Pole some 130&#39; ft in the air. Collingdale #2 along with Collingdale #1 stood by at the Community Center for a possible Landing Zone Stand-by. After some time, the U.S. Coast Guard was called in to retrieve the men from atop the pole to bring them to the field where Ambulances M06-7 &amp; M75-7 were standing by to treat the very cold men. <title>Passing Of A Member</title>
<description> *UPDATE* 2/14/08 Funeral Details are as follows. The Viewing for member Robert Eckert will be held at McCausland, Bathhurst, Garrity Funeral Home on Chester Pike in Glenolden on Sunday evening from 7:00pm-9:00 pm. At the same location there will be a viewing Monday morning 2/18/08 from 9:00am-10:00am. Followed by a Mass at Mercy Divine Church, 67th &amp; Chester Avenue, Philadelphia,  lead by Collingdales own Father Mike. Immediately followed by the Burial at Fernwood Cemetary. Additional apparatus is not requested.  Collingdale Fire Company #2 regrets to announce the passing of member Robert Eckert. Rob was a member who was committed to the company during parade details and also a regular attendee of the company&#39;s monthly meetings. Rob will be missed by all. Please keep the entire Eckert family in your thoughts and prayers as they enter this difficult time. Funeral Details to follow.                              </description>

<title>Battle the Cold; Battle the Fire</title>
<description>Tonight just after 18:30 Collingdale #1 and #2 along with Sharon Hill (Sta. 09) were dispatched to 1123 Chestnut St. for the Building Fire with Possible Entrapment. Seconds later 65-01 (Chief Adams) went on location with a working fire on the 1st floor, with the status of the occupants unknown. 42-9 assumed command as Engine 06-1 arrived on scene and began fire suppression followed by Engine 09-2 Quint 06, Engine 42-1 and Engine 75 who hit the plug on the way in. All occupants were then accounted for while crews from all companies battle the blaze while fighting the winter storm as well. Companies worked well together, and made a nice stop of fire on the first floor, with extension onto the front of the second floor as well. Crews then remained on scene for extensive overhaul of the front porch area and exterior walls. <title>Collingdale back to Work</title>
<description>Just after 10:30hrs Wednesday morning, stations 06, 42 and 09 were struck out for the building fire. Police quickly arrived on scene to upgrade the assignment to a working house fire on the second floor of the dwelling. Quint 6 hit the street first and stretched an 1 3/4 hoseline to the second floor as 06-9 took command of the assignment. Right on their heals Engine 42-1 arrived to complete the crew on the hoseline, while the remaining memebers on the quint and engine established a water supply hitting the plug just across the street. Engine 09-2 not far behind arrived on scene and quickly and started ventilation of the front windows and the roof. Crews made a quick stop with assistance also from, Darby Co. 04 and Glenolden Co. 05 also on the ticket, with Springfield Co. 44 standing by for R.I.T.                                            </description>

<title>Engine Company runs 2 workers in 2 days</title>
<description>901 Summit Ave, Darby - 2 Alarm Working FireEarly Tuesday morning the working fire assignment was struck out for 901 Summit, Darby Pa. Engine04-1 arrived to find a 2story single with heavy smoke showing. As crews stretched lines to the front door conditions quickly deteriorated and the rear of the house became fully involved. Crews quickly pulled out of the building and attacked the fire with a 2 1/2 hose from the side. The 2nd alarm was then struck out as crews went defensive on the fire and protected a B side exposure. 1020 Tyler Ave, Darby - Working FireEarly evening on Wednesday night the building assignment was stuck out for 1020 Tyler Ave, Darby for a building fire reported to be a bedroom. Police quickly arrived and upgraded the assignment to working fire with fire showing from the 3rd floor. Crews quickly went in service with numerous handlines and had the fire under control with 40mins. There was no extension to the exposure building and companies picked up and returned to service.</description>
